App of Today : Pulse News

Hi all,

here another post about interesting apps which we use everyday here at AppAware. Today’s presented app is Pulse News, a feed reader for Android.

The web offers tons of news feeds and websites to stay updated about the latest world news. For us for example it is important to know what is going on around Android, Apps and the Mobile Industry in general. We were looking for a cool app that makes it easy to read articles from many different sources on our Android phone, so we came across the Pulse News app.

Pulse News lets you add news feeds by searching, browsing or directly adding rss links. Afterwards it syncs automatically and shows you all the aggregated news in a fancy UI that lets you easily swipe through the latest news.

If you wanna stay up-to-date with the latest news give it a try and let us know what your favorite news feeds are!

App History

A lot of AppAware users ask us if they can see a list of the apps they have installed in the past. This can be very useful if you have a new phone and want to install some of the apps you had on the old device. Or if you don’t remember the name of this app you liked so much but can’t find again on the market.

Luckily this is very easy with AppAware. Just log-in with your Google Account and click on Menu->My Profile (1). That will show you the list of apps you ever installed ordered by time (2) , like this:

Happy hacking,

your AppAware team

App of Today : Catch Notes

Hi all,

We decided to start showing you good apps we use everyday here at AppAware. Today’s featured app is Catch Notes. According to AppAware it has a very high hotness factor and our users tagged it with “Best note app” and a lot of “likes”.

Catch Notes allows you to save a text note, photo, voice note etc. on your phone and syncs it in the background so you can look at it on other devices or on the website. Notes can be starred and tagged to find them easily afterwards. So far we haven’t had any problems with the sync and stability so we give it a 5-star rating.

So if you are like us, noting down every idea wherever you are, have a look at Catch Notes. The Android app you find here:

P.S. Let us know what your favorite apps are, we might include them in our series.

Top Android phones May 2011

Device fragmentation on the Android platform is nothing new, but the HTC Desire HD and the Samsung Galaxy S (a.k.a. GT-I9000) are clearly the most popular phones as of May 2011. Do you think LG will release the next coolest device?
